The affection of the wicked, fresh crops, women’s charms—like cloud shadows, all are short-lived and transient.
Cloud shadow, lust for courtesans, false wealth, king’s favor—all five are deemed fickle.
Like water on land, fire in dry grass, wicked friends, and prostitute's love—all are unstable and dangerous.
Cloud shadow, fire in grass, joy in dependence, and dispassion in the ignorant—these fade quickly.
The sky resounds with clouds, drenching Earth, symbolizing the friend’s loving nature. But you remain dry and indifferent—O beloved, that’s a surprise...
