Trapped by the senses, I mistook sound, form, taste, and touch as real joy, only to find they deceived me from higher truths.
Many animals live contently with few needs, yet elephants require vast lands. So too is the disproportion of needs among beings.
Few among the good truly serve selflessly without selfish intent—true saints act without expecting return.
Without entering the proper intellectual path, the stream of scriptural nectar merely echoes on the ears, never truly reaching the soul.
A gourd may appear full of water, but lacks capacity to offer even a handful—such is the noise of the boastful, hollow within.
He who ignores curing sin in this life suffers later, like a patient who refuses treatment but enters a hospital-less world.
Whatever upholds strength and virtue is born in this very world—why then seek answers from the crooked?
Once mighty trees are now hollow, snake-infested logs—what remains of the once-fragrant and flowering forest?
Without analyzing actions and their fruits, how can one follow dharma? Thoughtless people cannot live virtuously.
Fish, tortoise, and birds nourish their young by vision, meditation, and touch—just like sages nurture through intellect.
