Just as Vishnu supports the worlds with his four arms full of divine powers, great beings sustain the universe by noble means.

Fortune neither favors the too virtuous nor the completely worthless. She behaves like a mad cow—random and unstable.

सर्वे वारिधयस्ततो रिपुवधूनेत्राम्बुभिः पूरिताः॥

If you remain calm to excessive praise or lies, we call you wonderful! Whose tongue isn’t tempted by flattery?

तन्मे ब्रूहि मनःकुरङ्ग शरणं किं सांप्रतं यास्यसि॥

Oh mind-deer! Enchanted by her dangerously beautiful form and piercing glances, where will you find refuge now?

तावद्बिभ्रादिमां स्मृतस्तव भुजो वाचस्ततो मुद्रिताः॥

Despite bearing high mountains and vast oceans, you aren't tired. O Lord, your arms uphold the earth—this amazes me to silence.
